Subject: Howard University Event
The African Students’ Association will host its Eighth Annual Fashion Show TONIGHT at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in the Ballroom of the Blackburn Center.
This year’s show, titled “SAKO,” meaning “To Show Off” in the Yoruba language, will focus on the evolution of African fashions through the span of a lifetime. The show will feature clothing from African designers all over the nation. Proceeds from the show will go towards the African Immigrant Refugee Foundation, a non-profit organization that thrives off of volunteers to help African youth in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. The A’won Boyz will be performing, and Ghanian actor, John Dumelo, will be present.
