Dear Yemi,

How are things?

Thanks for this. The rep for my senatorial district, Akinyelure, is right smack in the midst of relics from another age. He and the Edo State Central rep at the Senate stand out like two sore thumbs from Southern Nigeria.

No wonder the crocodile tears; just hope he does not go and hang himself like Judas! What a terrible blight on his soul to say it was a mistake. He should just resign to save whatever is left of any honor he might ever have had.

Will definitely share this Dishonorable Roll Call.

Sincere regards,
TOLA.

No parliamentary discipline in Labour Party? I thought the party has an ideological platform on national issues. I was thinking ahead of time that Akinyelure may eventually succeed Mimiko when change of baton is due because no Idanre man has been Governor of Ondo State. Akinyelure is touted as the most popular politician in Idanre after Pa Gabriel Akin-Deko. He should wake up from slumber and make no more political mistakes. He is a very likeable person.

      Doctor,

      Thanks for this.

I do not know the guy but when I was researching material on Ondo State early last year, I checked the guy’s website along with a few other elected “lawmakers” from the State. I was so shocked at the sparsity of material which could not have been more than 500 words. I have not gone back since. I thought that for a Senator, he should have his plans for action all laid out, etcetera.

Now, come on Doctor, if we are talking about turns, do not forget that WE consider Ile’Luji as one with Ondo as you are all Egin and remember, Akure area has never produced a governor! Actually, I’m not worried whoever is governor as long as he/she can deliver as the present gov. is doing.

I think you should forget this Akinyelure guy; he’s not fit to govern as he is an expediency-is-everything person or worse, he sleeps through Senate proceedings; please quote me. And the women protesters believe he took bribes as per their posters! “Likeable” is good but character is more important. He is a fake Awoist, regeje cap, or not!.

      Sincere regards,
      TOLA.

These people-the so-called senators are enemies of our society. Nobody elected them, they selected themselves and put themselves in the Assembly. They all belong in prison.

      Dear Doctor,

And how dare that traitor don Awo cap. In his case as well as many others in politics in the Southwest, the clothes DO NOT make the men. No matter what they dangled at him, no matter the privation and wringers he was put through, Awo never betrayed the masses.

Now, I really would love to have a proceeding from way back when these people threw out the Revenue Mobilization pay and awarded themselves the highest pays of any legislature in the world. I’d love to see the contribution – if any – of the “progressives” to the scandalous rape of the people.

The keys to the jails where they are sent should be thrown into osa or better still, okun (the lagoon or the sea)

      Regards,
      TOLA.

      Thanks, KPC,

The same should be the feeling of everybody but as Nigeria keeps sliding, it seems its politics, economy and other indices of modern living would not be the only things to go down but its social responsibilities to its citizens. The world needs to rise to the aid of Nigerians on this important matter by condemning and using all available international fora to bring this evil out in ways that would shine light on such.

      Greetings.
      M.
