I concur that it is daylight robbery. These people got millions in so-called “security vote” for 4 or 8 years to expend as they want without the need to render account. Yet, we are all aware how several went on rampage looting their states’ treasuries. And now this.
Diaris God, o, but one hopes Nigerians will wake from the slumber we seem to be in and stop this governance that is more of a crime syndicate.

When certain things happen and one is not strong in his faith, he would begin to ask, is there God? For how long are we going to be folding our arms and continue to say ‘Diaris God ooo’, God come and save us ooo? I am not being blasphemous as I am a true believer in the existence of God, in religion (Islam) and in the life after death. We shall all report back one day to our creator and be tried by Him.
Haba, why people easily forget to fear God? These are people who would occupy front rows in Churches and Mosques. These are people Pastors, Bishops, Alfas and Imams know their hands are not clean and yet will not condemn or refuse their fat offerings and donations. These are people who know millions of people are suffering around them and yet do not care adding more pains, sorrows and sufferings to them.
So if the the yearly budget of Akwa Ibom is N1b, and there are about four or five democratically elected governors since the creation of the State, half of the State’s budget will be going for their medical bills not to talk of their pensions and other emoluments. What then will be left to take care of the people of the State?
Honestly, speaking some people are wicked and qualified to be stricken to death by thunder. Really, God is a silent One and all Knowing.

You know I’m not one of the let’s-leave-it-to-God brigade when I know He has given us brains and freewill like everybody around the world but consider this: the judiciary ambushed another arm of government, the Legislature the other day through a court ruling that bars the House from asking THE Ms. Madueke to appear before it and defend some points pertaining to OILY business in the oil sector. Ms. Madueke does represent the Executive, does she not?
I’m therefore really not surprised at the largesse granted a former governor, Akpabio by the Legislative now; it’s a matter of the more you look, the less you see.
A learned person who also happens to be a person-of-God wondered aloud in a write-up here the other day: what are Nigerians doing, not taking to the streets in the face of the goings on in Nigeria? It is the only way to save ourselves – whoever gets elected because it’s been shown over and over again that nobody is ever going to have to pay for looting. A few razzmatazz of investigation and then hardly a slap on the wrist.
By the way, those we thought were going to long jail terms are out campaigning for one post or another now!

You score another point in our going to the street to protest. But what have we gained from past protests? Look at the protest on oil subsidy last 2012. People were killed and maimed. Their families are counting and regreting their losses. The armed forces who are equally sharing out of the
sufferings in our society are the
ones coming out to defend the
looters; killing and injuring us protesting for our rights. Honestly speaking, I am confused.
