Education Sector in Crisis: Evidence, Causes and Possible Remedies – Ladipo Adamolekun

November 2, 2014

Iju Public Affairs Forum

This is being re-blogged because of the importance of the subject which sees it continuing to bring it traffic even after the caveat on the Home Page of emotanafricana.com. When I posted the final stats for visitors on October 5, “Education Sector …” had 2,405 viewers and by tonight, it had attracted 20 more, bringing the total to 2,425 visitors. There were also search engine terms, e.g. “ashby commission” and “adamolekun’s paper on education sector reform” in the last few days. I also had to answer an enquiry on “Yoruba Engagement Aso Oke” because of the necessity out of the 90 comments that I will not, unfortunately, be able to return to as contained on the Home Page of the old blog. TOLA.

“Trained talent is the yeast that transforms a society and makes it rise.”

– Lee Kuan Yew, former Prime Minister of Singapore in his “From Third World to First: The Singapore Story, 1965-2000”

    Dear Tola,

    Greetings.

I very much appreciate your migrating “Education Sector in Crisis…” to emotanglobal. What an interesting coincidence! I’ve accepted to address the editorial group meeting at Vanguard at noon today on “Rethinking University Education in Nigeria”. The Talk will be based on a draft paper that I hope to finalise by the end of the week. I’ll share it with you.

    Warm regards, LA

      Dear Bros.,

Welcome back and thanks for this. I feel it’s important to continue to make such a paper available to researchers despite my initial feelings that it was a bit too much on the academic side than other Iju Public Affairs Forum subjects.

I look fwd to receiving the new one and posting it here for my visitors.

      L. Tola.
