A Letter to my niece: the writing life & saying ‘goodbye’ – Tola Adenle

Old Magazine/Newspaper essays

This essay was first published in the December 26, 2010 edition of The Nation on Sunday, a newspaper to which – with its older predecessor, The Comet on Sunday I contributed Sunday essays for about nine years.

It was first blogged in emotanafricana.com on July 6, 2011, and with the essays’s popularity which started only last year after 2 years on the blog with not much interest generated, it picked up steam and at the blog’s close on October 3, it had acquired 400-Plus viewership.

I’m posting it here with the hope that its contents, which I commend to Nigerian journalists and non-journalists alike, can be shared even further.
