On the celebration of this year’s Eid al-Fitr, I send greetings to my Muslim friends from the world over.  May the spiritual cleansing sought from your Fasting bring fulfillment of your prayers and peace to you all.

      Dear Fatai,

      Thanks. I decided to send out my greetings because Nigeria is already on public holidays for the celebrations and a set up for the prayers is already up near our place. In a way, your prayers for us all is perfect in the way of Southwestern Nigerian Muslim and Christian religions: we celebrate with each other when one festive occasion is around, Christian or Islam. It’s as the world should be.

      My special greetings to you, Alhaja and the kids. Emi nyin a gba pupo l’aiye, o. (May you and the family live to celebrate many Eids, Itunu and Ileya!

        Thanks Anti. I think you know that my full name is Fatai Felix Bakare. So I am comfortable with the two religions.

        That is very interesting! I guess the “Felix” came out of St. Charles. What do all these matter as long as we live in ways that justify whatever religion we proclaim – Western, Middle-Eastern, traditional Nigerian …
