NOTE: The entire first post disappeared from my system & I do not know how it happened! The more I think I’m on top of these things, the less I really do know but at least now, I guess I can plead old age.

Dear Aunty,
Got my copy of ‘Aso Oke Yoruba’, and enjoyed reading every bit of it. Very informative, and the illustrations were a bonus! Love anything vintage, and nostalgic, so your mention/reference to adire/tie & dye was noteworthy. I hope I can have you autograph my copy someday :)).
One quick question…how does those of us in diaspora obtain some of these aso oke Yoruba of the vintage type, if possible directly from the weavers? Thank you ma.

Nice to hear from your end. Thanks, too, for purchasing my YORUBA ASO OKE …
There seems to be many online outfits that sell aso oke but those that sell the vintage ones are far too expensive. The info I try to get across is that the Diasporans get people they know at home shop Oje-Ibadan and Ede as well as markets like Igele at Ondo town in Ondo State where old ones are very affordable.
As for autograph, you should be able to get that soon as I’m around for the next sev
eral months and our common link should be here within the next week.
