As in the biggest of the world’s fashion shows – the New York Fashion Show Week – Anna Wintour, close friend and ally of Serena, was right there in the usual front row but the star of the formalization of Serena & Alexis’ relationship was, perhaps, Baby Alexis Olympia Ohanian.
Even though the bride and groom, central to the event – especially Serena in her show-stopping McQueen dress – and loads of celebrities were present at the Big Easy Do, A Little Girl not old enough to perhaps taste the wedding case right now – may be in a year’s time – stole invitees’ hearts and therefore, the show!
Big Sis. Venus was bride’s maid while their mom, Oracene, proudly carried her grandchild as the bridal party walked into the ceremony.
In addition to family members of the bride and groom were Beyonce; tennis star and Serena’s very good friend, Caroline Wozniacki who attended with new boyfriend, David Lee; Eva Longoria; Kim K. and one of the Kardashian Sisters, Chloe who reportedly arrived in a private jet, and many other bold name celebrities.

It’s 3:00 p.m. the day before their wedding, and Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are practicing their first dance one last time with a choreographer in the depths of their venue, the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. Outside, paparazzi are ensconced across the street hoping to catch a glimpse of the tennis superstar, and vendors are quickly working to build the French ball–themed, Beauty and the Beast–style decor, complete with a gold arch of flowers at the end of the aisle, long tables covered in lamé fabric, and lots of surprises. Inside, Serena is a calm, cool, and confident bride, dressed in leggings and a black baseball cap, just trying to nail her steps for when she and her husband take their first spin on the dance floor to “Tale as Old as Time” tomorrow.
